Kindle, Elonex, Sony Ereaders?
I’ve been thinking of buying an E-reader, but both me and my girlfriend share all our books. We both want our own individual e-readers, but don’t want to have to buy two lots of books, when we could buy one normal book and share anyway. When you buy books for the e-reader, what happens? Do they go to a folder on your computer and you can then add them to your reader, with it still on the computer, so we can both have the books on the e-reader, as we share computers?
Can we do this with the kindle and Elonex and Sony? Any ideas on which we should buy? I like the 5″ Elonex, as it’s colour and a back light, and my girlfriend likes the kindle because it looks good, but which is actually better? Can you listen to music on the kindle?
Any ideas on which we could buy and if we can share books if we buy different e-readers? Or can’t kindle and Sony use the same format type thing? Any help would be appreciated. 
My grandparents bought me a Sony Reader a while back, and I was not thrilled by the results of having one. The reader store is lacking sufficient enough novels to pick from. However, I recently received a Kindle and I am overjoyed. Every single book I have wanted to buy I have been able to download. It is easy to read on, and I enjoy it way more than the Sony Reader. Also, if you get the 3G WiFi capable Kindle you can download new books anywhere, you do not need to plug it into your computer or anything to get the books on the Kindle; however, I know there is a way to save your data from your Kindle onto your computer. Also, the Kindle has a speaker and a volume button, while I have not experienced putting music on it, I would assume that the volume button and speakers are there because it is music capable, but I am not sure. In the first week of owning it I read 4 books on it. I recommend the Kindle over the Sony.
Also, the Kindle and Sony run on different services, so they are not compatible what so ever. Meaning that if you have a Sony you cannot use the Amazon store to buy books for your Sony, and you cannot transfer them over. I am pretty sure both services set themselves up in a way so that neither one overlaps onto the other. They are competing against each other, so they have made a non compatible gap it appears.
