E-ink Ebook Reader

best ebook reader available regardless of price ?

I have seen reviews for several ebook readers out there. What I want is something portable with a long or very long battery life. It also needs to be easy to read, not use the new e-ink technology, and have available a large enough library.
2 Devices Ive looked into: The Sony Reader and Ebookwise 1150.
Sony reader has good memory and a huge library. Its screen is poorly lit for nighttime reading and e-ink technology sucks when you are turning pages.
Ebookwise has a great battery life, very rugged and easy to read at nighttime. Its cons are small online library, small and expensive memory and rather hard to use interface.

Pick the device with the best compatibility with existing ebook libraries which sounds like the Ebookwise device.
