On the Amazon Kindle? Can you download books that you have on your PC already? Or only the Kindle Store?

I have some ebooks that i’ve bought from several different estores. Can I download them to a Kindle Ereader to read there? Or can I ONLY read book that are bought and downloaded from the Kindle Store on a Kindle eReader?? Thanks for all your responses…

The Kindle will only read Kindle eBooks downloaded from Amazon. These can be downloaded on the Kindle device itself, or at Amazon.com via your computer.
