PRIZE ASIAN AUTHORS
ALONGSIDE a Nobel Prize winner, a first time novelist is listed among five authors shortlisted for the Man Asian Literary Prize. The books are: Three Sisters by Bi Feiyu; Serious Men by Manu Joseph; The Thing About Thugs by Tabish Khair; The Changeling by Kenzaburo Oe; Hotel Iris by Yoko Ogawa.

The Nobel laureate is Japan’s Kenzaburo Oe, the debut novelist Manu Joseph of India.

Judges will announce the winner of the prize, which comes with a $30,000 cash award, on March 17. Founded in 2007, the Man Asian Literary Prize is awarded annually to an Asian novel.
