Ereader With Backlight

Best E- Reader for me?

Ok i think i might buy an Ereader and i dont know which one to get. I want to have backlight, but that doesnt really matter. I like small and easy to read, with a lot of books to buy and recomendations on which ones to get next. I also want a touch screen. Any ideas?? Oh, and i usually only read books, no magazines or kids books, since i get my magazines come in the mail. Does any one have any information about sony selling
Harry Potter?? I think that would be really cool but i dont know if it would be worth the wait. And, if you have any information on new models i would love to know!

First decide on your priority: long-run reading or apps (games, video, web browsing, etc)?

There simply is no ereader that excels at both currently. For long run reading, the E Ink Ereaders (Kindle 3, Nook Touch, Kobo Touch, Sony Reader, etc) are ideal because of their paper-like displays. LCD ereaders have back-lit displays and offer a computer-monitor-like reading experience. For apps, the LCD ereaders (or tablets) are better. E Ink technology does not offer color and is not fast enough for video.

Among the E Ink ereaders, the Kindle 3 and Nook Touch offer the best value, but you want a touch screen, so you’ll probably be happiest with the Nook Touch.

Among the LCD ereaders, the Nook Color, basically a budget tablet, offers good value. It’s great out of the box or can be rooted fairly easily to allow running of Android apps. Cruz R101 or PocketBook IQ 701 are less expensive Lcd Ereader options. iPads or any of the larger Android tablets are more expensive (and more capable) LCD-display possibilities to consider.
