Acer launches a new 7 inch tablet
Acer is introducing two new tablet PCs, and both of them feature different sized screens, one is 7 inch and another is 10 inches. They will be running on Google’s Android operating system and they will be released with Honeycomb. To be specific it’s the honeycomb factor, the first version of Android to be made especially for devices like tablet that has become more interesting after seeing a downpour of tablet launches.
Honeycomb is still being tested for a formal launch, at the same time we have some info of the new 7 inch Acer tablet which is also getting its final shape at the Acer and it will make its entry along with Android 2.3 Gingerbread to start with. They will use Intel’s new Sandy Bridge processors and run an Android operating system. The new tablet will be based on next generation dual core 1.2 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor that is capable of ‘asynchronous clocking’.
The first thing to see with the tablet is its external surface, Acer has done a very good job with the tablet which is very well built and shows a feel of compactness. The front of the tablet has 7 inch 1280×800 screen resolution display. There is a presence of single Home button which is fair but it also creates some confusion as Honeycomb is made to work without the help of any external buttons. There are two other buttons, Back and Menu which is essential if the Tablet runs Gingerbread over the course of time. The tablet is obedient with Adobe Flash 10.1 player.
