My pandigital Ereader is frozen what do i do?

So i got a nice color touchscreen Pandigital Ereader yesterday for Christmas, which i love to bits. But i had it on the charger all night so it could fully charge and i took it off not too long ago and its frozen, When i touch the screen it won’t respond or anything. The only thing i can do with it is push the button so it can go into sleep mode, thats it. I can’t even turn it off. I’m very disappointed aswell my parents went through so much trouble to get me this and i already started reading a good novel on there so i don’t want to take it back. So what do i do to make it ‘unfrozen’?
